Which is best liquid eye liner out there?

I've had bad expierence with my liquid eye liner. I buy maybelline water proof and throughout the day little chucks of the line start to fall off.

Anyone know of an awesome black liquid eye liner that last and doesn't wrinkle that much.Which is best liquid eye liner out there?
Loreal Lineur Intense. Stays all day, stays black, doesn't fleck. Fantastic Applicator. I love liquid liner and I've tried soo many different ones. This is the best by far.

Another good one is Lancome Artliner or Mac Fluid line applied with a 210 brushWhich is best liquid eye liner out there?
I love love love estee lauders black liquid eyeliner. It is pricy but lasts a while and gives you bold solid lines. It lasts all day and the brush it super thin, so its a breeze to get close to the lashline.

I havent trusted another black eyeliner since Ive been using this brand.

=]
urban decay. it has a thin brush, so your line looks less sloppy. you can get it at any makeup store. i really like ulta for makeup, they have alot of quality products
Best one I can suggest is No. 17 black liquid liner. It's very well priced, doesn't look thick or clumpy and has a nice little brush when used correctly can outline the eyes perfectly.
I use covergirl
revlon colorstay

  • How can I do eye liner good?

I can never get my eye liner to be perfect on my eyes and its really starting to bug me! So i stopped using it but i really would like to start again but i just need some good tips on putting it on. How can I do eye liner good?
practice and take your time. I dont know if you mean liquid or pencil but just go slow and dont be heavy handed with the pencil, you can always add more..just make light soft strokes. It may help to kind of pull and hold the corner of your eye to have a really straight smooth lid. good luck! and be patient, you'll get it!How can I do eye liner good?
Using a good brush gives much better results. You can have the same cosmetic, but if you put it on with a better brush, it looks much better.
Practice, Practice, Practice. It won't come naturally to everyone. Watch videos on YouTube to learn how to apply eyeliner.
I found that it looks alot better when you only put it on the bottom. Do your mascara first then eyeliner second.

What is the best way to apply eye liner?

im trying to find new ways to put eyeliner on. Have any ideas? What is the best way to apply eye liner?
with a mirror line the top and bottom lid very carefully. make sure you have a good pencil so that it will go on smoothly. I suggest getting prestige soft blend khol eyeliner. you can get it at a drugstoreWhat is the best way to apply eye liner?
inside the lid...it looks way better than on the outside and under the lashes...eww
On the top...liner(liquid or pencil) should be applied as close to the eyelash as possible...almost on the lash. The bottom line should always be applied very thinly also or use a ';smudgeable'; pencil line..never put inside the lid. It makes the eye appear smaller.
pull down ur bottom eye lid and gently sweep the liner from one side to the other....im not very good with liquid: thats how i do it with a pencil or roll-on. hope this helps!! =]
The best way to put on eye liner is very carefully.

What color eye shadow/ eye liner should i use if i have green eyes?

I have greenish blue eyes and very fair skin and i need to know what color shadow and liner i need to use!!!What color eye shadow/ eye liner should i use if i have green eyes?
browns %26amp; purples will look best wiv ur eyes. The brown will make the blue stand out, whereas the purple will make the green stand outWhat color eye shadow/ eye liner should i use if i have green eyes?
u should definitly stay away from blue. I would try light brown and black, also glitter goes really good with green eyes and fair skin
I have green eyes too and I wear black eyeliner. But i put on bronzer on my face because it makes it look better. I just wear black eyeliner and black mascara. It makes eyes pop !!
I would stick with earth tones, browns and beiges. No bright colors because that would intensify your features and you don't want to do that.
    Browns..mostly.

Brown contrasts against the colors of your eyes (green and blue). It would make them stand out a lot more, jsut make sure you don't cake it on so the eyeliner swallows your eyes.
brown eyeliner. and purple or very natural colors for ur eyeshadow... that works rlly good : )
    Purples look awesome.
shimmery silver, blackeye liner, reddish brown
    Black.

    ONLY BLACK.
browns or charcoal or purples they will all look great on you.
    urmm black/brown

    blue ?

    bright colours

    ooh!

    plum purple

    would look georgeous x

Eye liner keeps smearing onto top of eyelids?

I wear dark black eyeliner everyday with some brown eye shadow. By the end of the day, however, the black eyeliner has managed to smear off onto the top of my eyelids. What can I do to prevent this?Eye liner keeps smearing onto top of eyelids?
There are several things you can do in combination to help the problem:

    1. blot your bare eyelids with tissue or blotting paper to get rid of any oil/moisture before you put on any makeup

    2. use an eye primer. some are great oil absorbers, like Too Faced Shadow Insurance

    3. put a light layer of skin tone shadow or translucent powder under your brown eyeshadow just to soak up every bit of oil.

    4. use a liner that's supposed to be smudgeproof. Urban Decay 24/7 liners work well, so do liquid liners and L'oreal cream liners.

    5. Make sure you're not applying the liner with a really heavy hand, or it's more likely to smudge/transfer.

    6. You could try tracing over the liner with a black powder shadow. This will make the liner stay longer and intensify the color.

I know this sounds like a lot, but if you only do a couple of these steps, I'm sure you'll see improvement. Even just switching your liner to something that's supposed to be smudgeproof might do the trick.Eye liner keeps smearing onto top of eyelids?
After you put the eyeliner on, load your eyelid/eyeliner line with foundation powder. Put a lot on there and gently press your finger to your eyeliner line to uncover it if there's so much powder that the eyeliner is covered. Once you've done that, Put the eyeshadow on. I hope this helps, because it's what I do everyday!
are you using a smudgeproof eyeliner ? (i know some of them arent really as smudgeproof as they claim haha)

but try liquid eyeliner? i've noticed it smudges less than a pencil eyeliner.

also, carry q-tips in your bag/purse for touch ups. :)
try using a primer than putting on the liner...

or try using a cream liner

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMeYiy1l8rE

the video shows using eye liner n how to apply...
Try liquid eyeliner. Or what i do is, i get a lighter and heat up my pencil eyeliner just enough so it doesnt melt, then i put it on and it makes it smudge proof!! hope this helps : ))

    GoodLuck
youur eyeliner is not good enough. i sujjest buying liquid eyeliner stay perfectly and is better for your skin.
are you using a cheap eyeliner? Maybe try one that specifies long wear and / or is waterproof
use liquid eye liner. and try to get oil observing sheets because you may have oily eyelids. thas what happend to me

What color eye liner or eyeshadow looks good with blue eyes?

ive got big blue eyes. is black okay, or would brown eyeliner be better? i dont really wear eyeshadow cuz i dont know what color to wear. what would look good? my skin tone is fair-medium and i have light brown hair. What color eye liner or eyeshadow looks good with blue eyes?
i use a very dark brown. Black is sometimes okay, i gues it depends on what look your going for. but i have blue eyes and i just have a bronzey or brown eyeshadow. gold stuff tends to make blue eyes stand out.

i would suggest staying away from too dark colors, if you have really light hair. but yeah, blue eyes don't really need that much dressing up.What color eye liner or eyeshadow looks good with blue eyes?
you can use brown eyeliner (it kind or depends how much your gunna use) but i would prefer black. neutrals work on almost everyone. for eyeshadows id say :blues, pinks, purples, shimmer eyeshadow.

    METALICS, look awesome!

like gold and exspecially silver and you can also go for bronze but i think metalic silver looks the best ( i have blue eyes)
    hi there,

Black is the best because it will make your eyes stand out, since your not used to eyeshadows etc why dont you try neutral colours like light brown or pearlish colours. If you want your eyes to really stand out deep green colours would look nice and deep purple. But in terms of eyeliner black is the best cause you can wear it day and night
Wow, that's wierd your like my twin...lol except my hair is dirty blonde almost light brown.... Anyways, i wear black eyeliner, and green eyeshadow because it makes my eyes pop. Everyone thinks they look great on me. Light purple eyeshadow is good too, but mainly green.
It depends on what color of blue your eyes are. My eyes are a really light blue, almost grey, and black eyeliner looks too severe on me. I've found that a nice chocolate brown color looks really good and makes my eyes stand out the best.
    eyeliner: black,silver,brown,

eyeshadow: white-ish, light light brown, light silver
gold or skintone eyeshadows look best in my opinion but a light pinkish/coral is pretty too

and for eyeliner black makes blue eyes pop the most but for casual brown is good
Hmmmmm.... i would say black eye liner and a shimmery pale green eye shadow to make your blue eyes more noticeable...

Also wearing blue makes your eyes bluer...at least it makes my friends eyes bluer
Typically a deep gold blended with blue or purple looks best.

Also, tryo adding a little white, and keep light on the shadow.

Brown, green, and black eyeliner always look nice with blue eyes.
purples and pinks eyeshadow, with black eyeliner i guess.

but purple and pink eyeshadow for sure.

    maybe green!!!

ooo sooo many choices!! blue eyes go with a lot of stuff tho so ure very lucky!!! :)
black eye liner yes but don't over do the look

maybe use white eye shadow in the corner of your eye to bring out the blue

    this technique does work
dark brown eyeliner would look good. and a gold shimmery shadow always looks natural but pretty. :)
    brown eyeliner for sure!!!

    shimmery gold shadow
I have blue eyes and I use black eyeliner.

A light silver or light brown eye shadow will look good.
green or red eye shadow makes blue eyes pop. for eyeliner you should pick black.
that aqua-green color makes blue eyes stand out... or brown. black might be too drastic. :)
    green
    maybe pink, or gold

Can someone please recomend a black eye liner which will not run or smudge?

I want an eyeliner which is blackest black, or very dark black. Ive found with many they tend to smudge easily without even being touched. so can someone recomend one which will not run or smudge unless i touch my eye. any brand and any price. All answers will be greatly appreciated, thankyou! Can someone please recomend a black eye liner which will not run or smudge?
i use rimmelCan someone please recomend a black eye liner which will not run or smudge?
i suggest 3 different kind of eyeliners.

    -cream/gel eyeliner

work soooooo gooodd, it doesnt smudge or budge when you touch it. and its really easy to apply.. you apply it with a eyeliner brush. and i suggest L'oreal HIP cream liner, and smashbox cream or gel liners. i own both and i really love it..and if you get Loreal's HIP cream liner, please make sure you get a new liner brush for it, cause the one that comes with it really sucks. you can get one at sephora or ulta smashbox got realy great brushes (:

    -eyeliner pencil

i recommend revlon color stay eyeliners, its reallly black. and it stays on for 16hrs and it smudges a little bit, but not so much, and it stays on for a long period of time. and i reallly like how it's an automatic pencil so no sharpening, and it glides on smoothly. just a great product

    -liquid liner

i also suggest revlon's colorstay liquid liner.

when i first got it, i thought it was going to be like any other liquid liner i bought. but boy was i wrong! it stays on all day, and its probably the blackest black liquid liner i ever seen!

its the BEST liquid liner i ever used. i love it. doesnt smudge. or anything. i will always use this liquid liner.

    hope this helps you (:
Smashbox has a cream eyeliner that stays very well, it comes in pots and it's darkest black is Caviar. You'd have to buy a good eyeliner brush for that one. I use Bare Escentuals eyeliner brush because instead of a straight fan of brush fibers, there's just a tip.

I had this problem A LOT!!! What I use and don't think I'm crazy.......... BLACK EYESHADOW!!! I buy applicators buy the pack so I don't cause infection! But really the black eyeshadow on the bottom lid works great!!!! I'm not talkin under the lashes I'm talking about applyin the black eyeshadow on the part where you pull down a little and put eyeliner on !! It even looks a little darker then most and stays on longer! I also use it on the top with a brush just for applying eyeliner. Target has some of the cheapest brushes for this. I've had no problems since! If you want a thicker line on the top then stick to the pencils but with the powder on the bottom.... it may help you out a bit more with staying put! GOOD LUCK!!! P.S. Buy using eyeshadow for eyeliner, I can use ANY COLOR I WANT TO MATCH WITH OUTFITS!! If black looks great then dark blues purples and greens will look great too!!!

    check out my question!
MAC fluidline. no question about it. or even smashbox jet set. cream liners are much easier to use than liquid and last MUCH longer. you may have to buy a brush to apply it (if you dont have one already). a good brush to use is one like this:

http://static.flickr.com/26/50207777_63b鈥?/a> because you can also use it to apply eye shadow as a liner with it and it much more easier to use anyways.
    MAC liquid liner in waterproof

im so serious when i say water proof b/c if you make a mistake you have only a few seconds to fix it other wise its a pain to remove the accident. its so water proof that its even a bit hard to remove after hours like at night

    rimmel london

i think its called soft kohl or something but what ever its pretty cheap and its very smooth when u apply it.
    Bobbi browns

when you first put it on (15 seconds).

they make my eyelashes fall out.

what is the best eye liner that can last all day?

my eyes for some reason get oily on my eyelids and i sweat on my lower eyelid so my eyeliner always get smudged or runs down to give me raccoon eyes.

so i need a suggestion on good eyeliners.

What is the best mascara and eye liner?
    lashblast is heaven.

and mac eyeliner suckkss, it always gets smudgy.

if you like thicker eyeliner i suggest a kohl base, like rimmel london. and for thinner, cleaner lines, i like to use mary kay eyeliners. both products go on way smooth. go for mary kay. What is the best mascara and eye liner?
definitely lashblast from covergirl.... or you can always try maybelline great lash and volum express...

they are of a great quality and give you a longer, fuller lashes.... ^^
    Lashblast is amazing.

Sorry I don't know any eyeliners, but MAC has amazing ones, they are pricey though.

    LashBlast works good

    RIMMEL!!

Where can I find smudge proof eye liner?

I want eye liner that's color won't fade or disappear by the end of the day, where can I find a smudge/water proof one? I really want to get one at walmart, but what brand should i look for?Where can I find smudge proof eye liner?
If you need to get one at WalMart, buy Revlon Colorstay. i've tried all the eyeliners and this is the one I keep coming back to. MAC also has a liquid one that will NOT come off until you take it off with makeup remover.Where can I find smudge proof eye liner?
    I use L'oreal's brand HIP

    It's called ';color truth creme eyeliner';

you put it on with a tiny brush because it's a creme but I haven't found an eyeliner that's easier to use or that lasts as long as this one.

there is no touch ups needed it lasts all day and then some.

    it's honestly great.
avon my mom is like in love with that stuff
AVON - has a great selection, I have been suprised by the quality!
First of all, all eyeliners smudge. %26gt;w%26lt; No matter if they say ';smudge-proof'; or ';long-lasting';. It depends on what type of environment your living in and your skin type. I suggest washing your face two times a day everyday, moisturizing before your put on makeup, drinking lots of water, putting on eye cream/moisturizer, concealer, and eye primer [this'll make your make up stay longer].
    A DRUG STORE
MAC has two formulas: Powerpoints and Technakohls. They work well.
The best brand that I have found is Revlon ColorStay. It's wonderful. It says it lasts for 12 hours and I really think that it does, try it out.

How do I know which liquid eye liner?

I want to get the Almay intense i-color Play Up and I have blue eyes so what color liquid liner do I get?How do I know which liquid eye liner?
I have blue eyes also, they're not really a right blue but more like a deep ice blue. I have found that dark brown eye liner goes best not only with my eyes but also my Almay blue color tablet. For mascara I use either a brown-black (for casual occasions, church) or a black (for nights out with friends, parties, formal occasions).

Good luckHow do I know which liquid eye liner?
It depends on what kind of effect you are going for.... if you just want your blue eyes to POP then go with black, it will make your cornea's stick out much more. if you are going for a complete effect go with a slightly darker shade than your base eye shadow. also, yes, you can mix brands of make up wearing your mascara isnt going to hurt anything

What is the best type of eye liner to use?

I usually use a pencil, and i don't like liquids... the pencils always seem to run or just ive way after maybe 2 hours.... what is a nice (black) eyelinerthat will stay throughout the day? What is the best type of eye liner to use?
Mac is the best. It lasts all day and in to the night. It's also very soft so you can smudge away if you want. What is the best type of eye liner to use?
    elizabeth ardern-pencil
Pencil eye liners run and there isnt really a way around it. you have to either just check the mirror and wipe up the mess and re-apply or switch to liquid. I like the idea of the mac fluid liner...i've never tried it but i plan to now.
Wet and wild-the self sharpening one

its good cause it has an eraser on the back!
The best cosmetics company I have found with fabulous quality is bee luscious cosmetics , they have an aloe vera and chamomile eyeliner that is wonderful and good for your eyes.
i'd get waterproof it doesn't run as easy

i like Wet n' Wild waterproof eyeliner (in black)
The most hardcore liner I have come across is MAC fluidline. Its in a little pot and you apply it with a small angled brush. Its doesnt budge for hours and hours.
I think Clinique makes the best eyeliners

Does black mascara, and eye liner make your eyes look bigger?

I have dark brown hair and eyes, that actually look black. I want to wear black eye liner, and mascara to make my eyes look bigger. Will that make them look bigger or smaller?Does black mascara, and eye liner make your eyes look bigger?
Eyeliner and marcara don't really make eyes look bigger or smaller; they outline eyes in order to make them stand out.

For example, imagine a sea of people, all wearing white shirts. Now imagine one person, surrounded by all these people wearing white shirts, who is wearing a black shirt. Is he bigger or smaller than the rest of the people? No, he's just more noticable because he stands out.

This is the principle on which eye makeup works. The skin on your eyes is just like the rest of the skin on your face. Without eye makeup, one's attention is usually focused somewhere around the nose or mouth. By outlining your eyes with black eyeliner and mascara, you draw attention to the white of your eyes, and subsequently, the colored iris. It helps to bring them into the foreground of one's vision, although they don't actually appear different in size.Does black mascara, and eye liner make your eyes look bigger?
i have eyes just like yours,,,very, very dark. i use brown pencil during the day (not so dramatic) and black in the evening,,,black mascara all the time,,,
black eyeliner does not but mascara does. i recommend white eyeliner. it really opens up your eyes. instead of putting it on the outside of you eye, place it right where your eyelashes start, if you know what i mean. it looks really pretty!
Yes it does. It draws more attention to your eyes, and the color of your eyes--the overall effect is that your eyes are bigger.

I see the (totally positive) difference every morning when I put mine on to highlight my green eyes!

So use them both. Black is the best for any eyes. It's the eye shadow that is different (depends on your color of eyes and skin tone)
it doesnt make your eyes look bigger

my eyes appear bigger when i wear white eyeliner under my black eyeliner
It doesn't make them look bigger. It just enhances them. One thing that does for me is I use a white shimmer on my brow bone, right beneath my eyebrows.
it will make them look huge! Think of it as your eyelashes are hidden....';painting'; them black with mascara will make them re-appear! And the eyeliner just defines your eyes. it makes them look more natural and less makeup-y if you only wear it on the top OR the bottom. but both looks nice too.
it makes your eyes more noticable

so id think it would make them look bigger

    especially with more mascara
    Yes,it does
i wear black eyeliner %26amp; mascara and it makes my eyes look the same size they reall are .. white eyeliner makes your eyes look biggggger
Since you're coloring is dark it's ok to use the dark makeup. But you want to put the liner beneath the lower lash thinly, not above it. And the upper lash just smudge it into the lash line.

Mascara is good to follow w/ %26amp; it does open the eyes as well.

Can you wear liquid eye liner on the bottom of your eye?

Also, do you wear eyeliner on the bottom of the inner eye lid or underneath it?Can you wear liquid eye liner on the bottom of your eye?
Yeah you can, i wear liquid eye liner on the bottom lashline all the time instead of pencil eyeliner. This is because a lot of pencil eyeliners are always smudging, and liquid eyeliner stays put on me. Especially when I use a product from Sephora called Eyeliner last, which sort of seals in the product.

You shouldn't use it on the bottom inner rim of your eyes, if that is what you are asking. Using it along the lower lashline but not on the inner rim is fine. Can you wear liquid eye liner on the bottom of your eye?
I wouldn't suggest wearing liquid on the bottom lid. It will smudge and give you raccoon eyes. Use a coal pencil and line the inner lid from th outer corners to about mid-way down the lid. Don't go all the way to the inner corners. Smudge it just a little so it doesn't look so harsh. Also, it you are using black liquid on the top, use a dark brown color on the bottom. It looks better.
It is possible to wear eyeliner on the bottom eye lid underneath it, but its not the best idea. I wore it to homecoming one year, and it smeared almost immediatly. As far as putting it in the inner eye lid, it is pretty difficult and can irritate your eye.
noo! it looks terrible. i if yo want all your eyes to be black, just put liquid eyeliner on the top of your eye, then normal eye pencil on the bottom, but dont just put it inside, but a bit on the outside of your bottom lid then smudge it a bit. hope i helped :] x
dont listen to these people..im a girly girl not emo even though it may sound it...but i wear it on both the top and bottom daily and it looks normal but never on the inside i wear just pencil eyeliner there..and just fix your mistakes with a q-tip
You can, but not only will it smudge, but it can also leak into your eye and distort you sight momentarily.
yup.you can if you want but it looks allot better if you only put it on the top both or just on the bottom looks messy.

Yup I have. I use my mineral eyeshadow as a wetliner now. Use it with an angled liner brush. I put a little in the lid, then add a drop of visine instead of water. (the visine makes it last all day) works great! No itching!

Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?

I bought the Loreal HIP eyeliner. It looks like it would be a liquid eyeliner because of the container it comes in but it's not, it's a very fine powder. When I use the applicator it came with specs fall off as i'm applying and end up on my cheecks just below my eyes. It also smudges alot when I go to wipe or dust them away. Does anyone have any ideas?Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?
maybe u shud wet it. This one girl takes like dark powder eyeshadow and wets it and uses it as liquid liner..Does anyone have any tips for applying a powder eye liner?
Really, it's a powder?! How odd! Are you sure it is meant to be that way. If I were you I'd take it back to the shop and check if it is meant to be like that.

However if it is a power, and you do want to use it then I have an easy solution. Put a layer of pressed powder (Not foundation. Pressed powder) under your eye. Then, apply the eyeliner until you get the line you want. When you are finished, simply wipe away the line of powder. No makeup wipes needed, no smudges!

    Hope I helped :)
I never heard of that. I only thought they came out with gel liners? If you have a powder one for what ever reason I would probably try dipping my brush in water before applying it. Hope this helps. :]
Use a primer first on your eyes (concealer works just as well for me) and make sure you tap all of the excess off from the brush. If you think that the applicator is the problem, buy a good angled brush. I love all brushes from The Body Shop (especially their new kabuki).

Anyways, the primer should help the liner stick to your eyelid well.
Apply it with a brush WET.

Put a folded tissue in under your eyes.

Have face powder on, so, if any falls on your face, you can just quickly brush it away with the powder brush-without it smudging. It may smudge because you have a liquid foundation/just foundation/moisturiser on and it sticks to it.

    Best answer? :)
Make sure you tap off the excess from the brush. Then apply like you would any other liner, staying close to the lash line and blending where needed.

If any does fall off just remove the excess with a fan brush. Working with powders always has the excess falling risk - just be sure your brush isn't over loaded and you'll reduce how much powder falls.

    Good luck!

How do you keep your eye liner from smearing?

what is the product people use. I heard about a smear stick but I don't think that is what it is called. So HELP..How do you keep your eye liner from smearing?
you could also try putting the same color eyeshadow over it to set itHow do you keep your eye liner from smearing?
    try a liquid eyeliner.
put translucent powder over your eyeliner
The best me and my daughters have come across is Revlon color stay.
I use an eyeliner pencil from Loreal. The automatic twist up kind and then I set the liner with eye shadow that is the same color.
Try using using gels under the eyes instead of any crèmes – crèmes contain oils that can break-down makeup throughout the day. If you’re using an eye pencil, go over it with a light dusting of powdered shadow to help it stay in place. For a longer lasting lid color, try applying you powdered shadow wet instead of dry. The wet powder will “cling” to the lid.
Use a waterproof one, or a liquid one.
in my opinion the best eyeliner is waterproof liquid eyeliner. if you use a pencil.....stay away from the soft oily eyeliners.
dust some powder on it when you're finished

because the powder absorbs the oil
Use a powder shadow and line them with a thin lining brush. Dampen brush slightly to prevent powder from falling under eyes and you can wet brush more and blot before using color if you want darker liner.
I would try liquid liner it doesnt smear at all and it takes seconds to put it on(you don't even feel it!) But if you want a eyeliner that doesn't swear get a waterproof eyeliner. That always works for me, and then just get makeup remover thats oil free
well dont cry, dont bump ur arm, %26amp;%26amp; most def. dont get n e liquids on ur eyeslike eye drops....okay? well i hope my advice helped you♥
    Try She-Laq by Benefit: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh…

This will keep it on ALL day - no smearing.

How do I fix my eye liner and mascara ?

My eye liner always makes my eyes feel dry and my mascara buggs my eyes too. I look a lot better with them because it brings out my blue eyes. But I always end up blinking a lot or rubbing my eyes because they feel so dry or something like that. Then it smeers and doesn't look as good. Can someone give me some advice on what will make it better ? Should I use water proof mascara and eye liner ? Or will it still get messed up ?How do I fix my eye liner and mascara ?
no mascara is going to give you those long, glossy, black lashes. its naturally dry, but some good mascaras to try: maybelline curl lash xxl, rimmel london, covergirl lash blast, and diorshow. for you eyeliner make sure you get a soft eyeliner(test it on your hand before you buy it) some good eyeliners to try: rimmel london, new york color, and urban decay. if your mascara is dry try blow drying it for a few minutes to soften it. then try not to mess with your makeup, waterproof or not it will mess up if your rub your eyes.

you may be allergic, so talk to your doctor and ask them to test them, it may not be your makeup that irritating you.How do I fix my eye liner and mascara ?
    okay,

first i would switch the brand of eye makeup your using. you might be having a reaction to the chemicals in it.

then i would put eye drops in before you apply your eye makeup, your eyes could just be naturally dry.

lastly i'd go for water proof eye make-up, so that way even if you need to rub your eyes it won't smear all over your beautiful face:D
I would try a different brand. Some of the ingredients in the eyeliner/mascara could possibly irritate or skin and eyes. I would go waterproof (not only because it stopped my itching and rubbing, but also doesn't smear everywhere). Or try a smoother (richer) eyeliner if yours is too hard.
    Get a hypoalergenic brand!

    x
get a different brand for sensitive skin and itchy eyes. i would get water proof cuz if u do rub ur eyes too much it will end up tearing and there goes ur makup!
Maybe try a good hypoallergenic eye cream/lotion prior to putting on your makeup. It can also help keep your shadow from fading too.
maybe you should try some other makeup.

or maybe ur like allergic to the suff ur using.

    try the collection form almay called, ';bring out the.....';

ive got it and it makes my eyes look really pretty, but its really comfortable too.

if none of it works, just try to go to another brand, they are all going to basically have the same shades of eyeliner and mascara. brown and black.
waterproof doesn't work in my opinion

try spending more money on the good brands not the cheap stuff if u haven't done so already
covergirl lashblast or anything from clinque (mascara)

    eyeliner:

Urban Decat 24/7 glide on eyeliner. u can get it at sephora and try it there. it is really the best ever!!! its $15 and creamy with rich pencil, it almost feels wet when u put it on, cuz its so creamy but a pencil and dries in 30sec. it stays on FOREVER!!!! it never irritates my eyes but the colors are soooooo pretty!

    hope i helped :]
dont bring your eyeliner all the way over to your crease and it wont run

How do you put on eye liner?

I want to start wearing eye liner, but I don't know how to put it on and make it look good. Anyone want to give me steps for how to do it or something like that? Or tips? I wear mascara already, but some tips for putting that on would be great too. Also, which goes on first, eye liner, or mascara? Thanks! How do you put on eye liner?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSc9r4tzWykHow do you put on eye liner?
yes, that girl is right, start with a stick.

    that's best for beginners lol.

ok um, what you are going to do is...

    1. get the stick and smudge it into the lash line for the top lid. just smudge it in just enough.

if you lay your finger, while your eye is shut,

on to the top of your cheekbone.

the liner shouldn't be seen past your finger. ( i hope that that made sense!)

for the bottom, that pink line that you see when

you pull the bottom lid down.

smudge it onto that line. your eyes will water a little, but that's ok and it shouldn't make the make up run or anything.

then apply a LITTLE BIT MORE eye liner on the bottom.

and then you can MASTER your way to liquid liner lol.

    ok step 2 in mascara:

smaller the lash brush, bigger the lashes. just make really small streaks onto the lashes. I recommend Lo'real

liner. it is rereally good and gives the eye really good sape while at the same time, creates the allusion of a larger eye.

    3. try and get a nice highlight and apply it under the brow and on the inside corner of the eys.

    I hope that I helped you! :)

    -layla for best answer!
you should put eye liner before mascara because you may mess up the mascara if your putting eye liner on top of that. well putting on eye liner is extremely simple. if you want a really dark look you should pass the pencil over your lower eye over again until it looks dark enough. to me, just one or two coats if fine. to put it on you should first press down on your upper cheek/under eye. then start moving the pencil right above your lower lashes. put the liner on your entire upper lash (if you want, or you can stop in the front of middle). some people put eye liner on the top but that's harder or easier depending on if you put on inside or on top (never heard about the inside part until i saw the video). for mascara its best to have your lashed curled well. then slowly brush it upwards and don't move the brush side side like in zig zag (some people thing it makes it look long or thicker) because it clumps up your lashes. for the bottom it's a bit harder because you have to avoid getting mascara on your skin. don't press down the brush too much and there's no need to put too much on.

all you do is close your eyes - 1 at a time - and put it on the way you want it.you can make different designs and stuff but thats when you get good at putting on liner. me i like the liquid color eye liner its way more easy to put on/and take off then the the regular kind
Mascara goes on last when doing your eyes. Curl your lashes first so it won't ruin the eyeshadow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSc9r4tzW… this video is a great help for eyeliner. It teacher you the different kinds and how to apply all kinds of liners. It really works wonders. You really have to actually see the steps and not read them. Hope I helped!
first get a good eye liner then apply it to the part of your eyelashes start but dont put to much. there is also different ways to put it on! here is a video, good luck!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSc9r4tzWyk
start off with pencil. liquid takes mastering skills.

lift up your upper eyelid a bit and put it on where the eyelashes are then add mascara.

    same for the bottom.

    theres really nothing to it.
put it on the top and bottom line of your eyelash line. If you want it to really show the put it on the water line witch is the wet part where your lashes are!

    tutorial :P
Apply eyeliner first than apply mascara.

    Mascara

1- Not too necessary but helps a great deal - curl your eyelashes first. Put the eyelash curler on the roots of your mascara, hold for 10 seconds and release!

2- Hold the mascara wand on top of your lashes, at the roots. Hold down and swipe a load of product on your lashes, root to tip, going over to spread the product smoothly.

3- Do the same thing for under your eyelashes, working the wand into your roots to the tips. Wiggle the mascara wand in a zig-zag motion to get to all our lashes and to build even more volume. Put as many coats as you want, focusing on ‘lifting’ your eyelashes up.

4- Optional - apply mascara to your bottom eyelashes. There are no real techniques here, other than just apply it from root to tip, loading product on, but making sure it goes on smoothly.

    Eyeliner

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the outside corner of the eye, stopping two-thirds of the way along the eyelid. Apply with short strokes, drawing the line into the lash line rather than above it. For a more dramatic look, make the outside line a bit thicker than the inside.

Step 2: Set liner with a deep eyeshadow. Dip eyeshadow brush into the shadow, then apply shadow over the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner, which tends to rub off on eyelid.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to lower lashes. Using your eyeshadow brush, apply the deep-hued eyeshadow along the bottom lashes, from the outside in. Unless you have wide-set eyes, don't line the entire lower lid. Instead, stop halfway across. For a more natural look, don't dip the brush into the shadow again, instead, use the excess that's still on the brush for the lower lashes.

Step 4:Clean up any mistakes with a cotton swab.

Extra tips: To make eyes appear wider, trace the inner rims of eyes with a white pencil.

    Eye Liner???

Ok...what kind of eyeliner should i use, Whenever i put some on it looks like i just got punched in the eye lol. So i have to use eye shadow under my eye, any suggestions on a kind of light eyeliner brand?Eye Liner???
Have you ever tried a mineral eye shadow as eye liner? That way you have some really great color choices as well as being to put it on without the harsh look pencils can give you. Without knowing the color of your eyes its hard to be able to give you a great answer. Why not try gold?Eye Liner???
Put powder on first then apply the eyeliner. That will keep it from running. Report Abuse

Try MAC eyeliner they have all range of colors from subtle to deep.
Loreal...and brown for daytime, black for night.
Any kind of waterproof Eyeliner will solve your issue. After you put it on, blend it in with an eyeshadow brush. That softens the appearance of the liner and you don't get that black eye look ;)
Try a softer shade like grey or khaki. they won't look so harsh. and if the pencil is soft, use a brush or cotton swab to smudge the line a bit. Pretty.
My most favorite brand of eyeliner is made by Mary Kay. I have tried many differnt brands, and always end up going back with Mary Kay (and by the way, it lasts A LONG time, so it's worth a little extra money). And, if you try it and don't like it, they will refund your money - unlike a retail store, where you're just stuck with the product you don't care for.

BTW, I DO NOT sell MK products. It's actually the only product I do purchase from them.
    Mary Kay
I USE ESTEE LAUDER EYELINER AND WORKS GREAT...
I use a black eyeliner pencil from Avon. I have used it for years, never runs and never smears on me...I would never use anything else.
u should use a light brown eyeliner from avon its light but still shows and it doesnt look like u got punched in the eye...well as long as u apply it correctly
personally i love love love cover girl. also when you line the top lid, i do it beneath the lashes it adds depth but it really only works on larger eyes
You should try buying those eyeliners that are designed for your eye color. I have green eyes, and I bought this one that is kind of a purple-ish brown..and it looks really good and doesn't smear.

Maybe you should try not putting it so far down..try putting it on your lash line.
Depends on what color hair you have and what your skin tone is like. If I knwo that much, I can tell you which liners you should be using.

    what's better for eye liner??

    pencil or liquid??

and also, what's the best way to apply it??Eye liner?????
Pencil is quicker, easier, less-defined and subtle.

It's a really easy on-the-go thing, and there are more color choices. It's good for school, shopping and fun.

Liquid takes time, perfection, and gives you a definined look.

It takes some time to put on and get the hang of. But It's gives a great look for parties, dates, and formal invitations.

You should also always know to apply eye liner before mascara. Because the color of the mascara, liquid or pencil, usually gets on your eye lashes, so you can cover it up with mascara after you put on eye liner.

For pencil eyeliner, close your eye and hold the lashes down against yout skin with you left hand. EYELID: Apply it right on the exact top of your lashes, it should show, if not, go up a little bit. UNDER THE EYE: Pull the area right under your eye down a little bit. Right above the place where your bottom lashes start, that membrane, apply the eyeliner right there, in a few strokes.

For liquid eyeliner, close your eye and hold the lashes down against yout skin with you left hand. EYELID: a little bit above the root of your top lashes make a dot, then follow that line very carefully to the outside. It takes a while to dry. After you're sure it's dry you can pick off the places you messed up. BOTTOM LID: Do not, ever, apply liquid eyeline to the membrne where you put pencil eyeliner! For under the lashes, you start from the inside corner of the eye, just a little bit to your right, that's where you start. But you may wonder why your putting it on what seems like the lashes, but when you are applying it it actually picks up the lashes. You have to do it as far up as you can without touching the membrane. When it's dry, pick off the part thats right at the corner of the eye.

    Hope that helped you!Eye liner?????

Pencil is a LOT easier to apply, you just put it on your lash line. But liquid, you need to dry and it goes a bit above the lash line.

To apply pencil just keep going over your eye/lash line.

For Liquid, dot where you're going to apply and then trace it over.

Liquid is also a LOT more defined, and can look really nice if you get it right.

Pencil is just the same, but with a bit less definition and a LOT less hassle.

I would tell you to use pencil liner, but it just depends on you.

Check out Covergirl.com for some tips. They REALLY help!!
It depends on the person. Personally, I prefer penicl because it's easier to apply and take off. However, mii mom prefers liquid. The thing is, if u decide to go with liquid, I suggest using waterproof so it doesn't fade away. A good liquid eyeliner is Maybeline's waterproof liquid eyeliner.
    it just depends

    whats easier for you

    to appy

    i would say liqiud,

    that s what i use

but it takes a long time to dry

but pencil smudges all the time

    so be real careful

and liqiud when it drys lasts a very long time
Pencil looks softer and natural as you can smudge it, liquid can be cleaner and more dramatic.

I personally apply liquid eyeliner with my eyes open and just use one sweeping movement.
Liquid is better for the top, and pencil is better for the bottom
    penceil

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
i would say pencil because its quicker to put on. w/ liquid u have to wait for it to dry and it smudges but thats just my opinion
pencil is a lot more stable, natural, and looks better!
i agree with the first answer. but for under the eye, pencil is like a must.
if u're asking me.. i must say pencil since it's more easier to apply and doesn't give u a horrible look when smudge
pencil is good for the bottom but if u want it dark put liquid eyeliner on top
    deff Pencil.

and you can apply any way you likee

    :D
    both really good.

    Eye Liner????????????????

okay so me and my friend shared eye liner for like an hour and then took it all off. is that bad? a couple of our friends got stye the next day after wearing another person's eyeliner.. the stye lasted for one week and everyone was like ewwEye Liner????????????????
its kinda like sharing hairbrushes. you're not really supposed to, and its pretty common for stuff to happen, but usually nothing happens. and when stuff does its nothing deadly or anything. sharing eyeliners or hairbrushes or anything like that is just something you should try to avoid. but if you used some of you're friends eyeliner i wouldnt lose any sleep over it or anything, i'm sure you'll be fine.Eye Liner????????????????
Sharing eye make-up is not a healthy thing to do, it passes on bacteria.

Once, me and my sister shared mascara and my eyes were bloodshot for three days afterwards, so yeahh try to avoid it.
    It can be.

You're generally not supposed to because you can pass bacteria when you share things like that.
i think that sharing eyeliner isnt good if that happend to your friends
it can be.. but I share with my best friends all the time and we are fine.

    Eye liner??

How do u put eye liner on?? i think im gonna start but i dont know how to put it on every time i try i mess up and it gets all over my face PLEASE HELPEye liner??
    www.ehow.com/how_157_apply-eyeliner.htmlEye liner??
Ok, to line your lower lash line use a pencil %26amp; just follow the ridge inside the eye (pull your lower eyelid down %26amp; touch the pencil to the ridge).

For liner on the top lid line as close to the lash line as possible. You may want to get a liquid liner that has a felt tip (it's just like using a pen or a fine tipped marker). That should cut down on the smearing on your face, %26amp; the liquid goes on much easier than the pencil kind does.
Eyeliner is an art form, and takes practice. I like to use liner that comes in an eyeshadow container, then I get a straight edge brush and wet it. I make the compact a shoe polish consistency, then apply it as so: lift the eye lid up and gently dot the eye liner on int he inside (underside) of your lid. Then blink a few times, and some will transfer to the lower lid. It looks awesome! If using a pencil, just apply very little amounts at a time to the upper and lower lids. This helps to avoid putting too much on. It's sort of a difficult thing to describe, I hope I was helpful!
    practice makes perfect...

use liquid and dab it onto a towel before you start to apply it. Alot of times, there's just way too much on the applicator to start. So yeah, start soft, add more if needed!
    practice!!
well it depends on what type your using i use crayon and liquid, it also depends on the look your going for, but no matter how you want it to look the way to do it is carefully. use your lashline as a guide. if u want a smokey look use crayon liner and smudge or blend it. if u want a rockabilly or egyptian look use liquid: just line as perfectly against the lash until u reach the part above the pupil then gadually start moving it up ina diagnal direction making a winged line
I like to use waterproof eyeliner and do the top lid closet to the lash line as possible, then use a eyeshawdow to blend it. This should make the color closet to your lashes darker with some color on top, very nice. Then do your mascara. You could do your lower lid but I think that is too much. Less is more......
You just have to practise. I put on on my top lid only, and in between the lashes. I was really bad at it too but after a while I got better.

You could always just rub it on and smudge it for the ';smokey'; look.

You should make sure the tip is pointy.
My mom taught me a trick.....when using the eyeliner on your top lid put your pinky finger at the tip of your nose and that will help you keep the line straighter....It works for me....

    Eye liner?

im 11 going on 12 and i have juststarted recently to wear makeup i know how to put on everything except for kinda blush and eyeliner

i tryed to put eyeliner on but i dont want to look goth , i u know pulled my eyelid and put it on the very edge but it kinda looks gothEye liner?
well since your only 11 i would advise you to not apply eyeliner inside your bottom eye, apply it only to the lash line same goes for the top pull the corner of your so that you can get as close to the lashline as possible. seventeen.com about.com and several other sites have great tips!

    check out my question!

I am going through the same thing, the first time I put on eyeliner i thought i looked sooo bad,but after a while i just got used to it and now it looks normal to me!
use brown eyeliner till you get the hang of it,and once you get used to putting it on, then move to black, and just follow your cheek bone for blush.
You're kind of young and you probably wont get it right for a while to be honest. I think you should just wear eyeliner on the bottom of your eye for now.
    get a lighter color eyeliner!
I don't put eyeliner on the top of my eye cuz I think it looks fine w/out it and I can't seem 2 get it on right ether!LOL I use stick eye liner it's easiest %26amp; pull down my bottom eyelid and put it on the part above my eye lashes!! It takes some practice before it looks good but u will get it!
use brown stick eyeliner, and only go half way into your eye, like on the outer corners half way in, it looks MUCH more natural :)

good luck! :))))) makeup can be tricky..
Oh man, I rememnber going throughg this in middle school, I would say to use brown first, it looks more natural (so you get used to it) and then only put the eyeliner on the top eyelid because the bottom eyelid is a little too bold. And once you get comfortable then you can start experenceing and figure out what you like. I am a junior in HS and I still don't really like wearing eyeliner on my bottom eyelids :)

Oh and you can always apply it and just get some makeup remover pads and then wipe it off until you like the amount of eyeliner that you have :)

just make the line as close to your lashes as possible and follow your lid.Don't hold the pencil slanted, hold it straight up so that you won't get a big thick line that'll smudge.

    good luck!

  • Eye liner?

anyone know what is the difference between liquid eye liner, gel eye liner, eye liner pencil.... how is it different? Is the outcome different? and how? (show pictures?)Eye liner?
    Liquid Liner -

Very natural if you know how to use it, cause you can make it into a very fine line... and longer lasting, but you can only use it on the upper lash line... not the lower

Gel liner (I don't think that it's really gel, it's something creamy) -

Must be applied with a thin brush, something like a liquid liner, but easier to control...

    Pencil liner -

Easiest to control, can be used on both upper and lower lash line... But it smudges even if it's waterproof...

So as you can see the hardest to control would be the liquid and easiest would be the pencil... Most celebrity uses liquid liner, and they get it done really nicely... Very thin and natural, yet enhancing their eyes...

So it's your choice, but if you're not good with liquid, stick to the pencil, I uses pencil too...^^

    Enjoy~~~Eye liner?
pencil makes a much natural look...use liquid if you want to look bold...it looks good if you use it properly on top (makes your lashes stand out)
    first of all

eyeliner pencil : they have a soft tip, and generally easy application, cheap ones are fine if you're gonna define your eyes later on with liquid eyeliner. choose ones which dont smudge that easily, try out the ones avaliable in drug stores or the mac eyeliner %26lt; - own prefernce

gel eyeliner: similar to liquid eyeliner, but its sold in little jars, to apply them on your eyes you would need to buy a special eyeliner brush. the texture is more like..mm clayish, its normally avaliable in black, brown, golden brownish colours. they're soft, precise (because of the brush) and very smooth to apply. the brand that i would recommend would be bobbi brown. comparing to pencil eyeliners, your look would be more define and bold but not TOO bold that it looks a little too dramatic like liquid eyeliners give you. gel is also prettty easy to blend in with dark eyeshadows to give you the ';smokey eye'; look.

liquid eyeliner, my least favorite, this' because they tend to harden VERY quickly once you start using them and they also form loads of clumps around the bottle. and once they dry off in your eyes they looks a little scale-y close up. if you really are gonna go forward with this type of eyeliner, i would prefer lancome's artliner

    hope these suggestion helped!

#2. Sometimes the oils on your skin can make the eyeliner drip or spread on the face. So before applying the liner you should clean your face (especially around the eye area). You should wash your face with Ole Oil Remover Pads or with Aveno Baby Wash. After washing your face, dry it thoroughly. I suggest that you take a Q-Tip and dab a bit of baby powder on the crease of your eye, so that it stays dry and clean :].

#3. If all fails pack a pouch of baby wipes in your bag and everytime it goes to the crease of your eye pull out the wipe and clean off the crease of your eye instead of completely re-applying.

    Hope this helped!!

Liquid is much more finer. Pencil is a little thicker.

    Haven't tried gel yet.
gel eye liner has a gloss after math, liquid depending on the type leaves either a matt of shimmery or chrome effect. eye pencil leaves a more smokey and dusty effect, nice for smudging effect.

the outcome is very different for all three. sorry i dont have photos.
liquid ones... are much harder to use, i prefer a pencil here are pics[=

how can i put on not that dark eye-liner of black eye-liner and not look like a ratcoon after i put it on?hel p me figure this out:]:]eye-liner[:?
If you want a softer look I would recommend one of two thing. Either use a brown kohl pencil, and just touch your eyelids with it, building up to a line rather than drawing it straight away. Or, using shadow. I find that using eyeshadow is a much easier way to get a soft, smokey look. I hope you have fun experimenting!:]eye-liner[:?
if you want to wear dark eyeliner, dont go for black if you want to not look like a raccoon. try a chacoal or very dark brown instead. i had the same problem. i suggest go to wikihow.com. they have heaps of stuff on how to apply eyeliner.

    :-PEye liner...?
It sounds like you're probably using the pencil liners (ya know the ones that are made of wood, like an actual pencil?), which can be hard to apply and painful sometimes. Not to mention they're a pain in the bum to sharpen.

Try switching to a liner that comes in a plastic tube that you twist up, they're easier to apply, easier to sharpen as well if you choose to.

Almay, and Maybeline are good brands, I'm not sure about how many colors those brands make though. I currently use Maybeline Define-A-Line eye liner, and it works well.

But basically any liner than comes in the plastic twist up tube instead of the pencil form will be much easier to apply, there are many other brands that have lots of color selection. Just look through the make up section wherever you get makeup at.
    Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner pencil

comes in a ton of bright, unique colors

Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge.
almay, and i like the ones from remmel london too. also any eyeliner that you twist up and dont sharpen will go on smoother. traditional pencils dont go on as smoother then the softer ones you find in the palstic twist up tubes.
    maybelline unstoppable.

it's six bucks for a twisty eyeliner, but it's worth it

cuz it works well and lasts long enough. [:

GOSH liquid waterproof eyeliner is great, but really expensive (15$). Comes in like 10 colors + though!
I use the Maybelline Define-A-Line eyeliner. I love it, because you can make smoky lines or defined lines with the smudger.
    Barry m is the best,

because it is so soft to apply.

  • Eye liner...?

I have dark green/hazel eyes with long dirty blonde hair. I am going on a school trip Wednesday, so i want to look good. Any suggestions for eye makeup colors? also, i want to know how to put on eyeliner on the top lid, i stink at it!

    thanks in advance!Eye liner...?
Ok bright colors catch the eye and make people notice your eyes better it draws attention. Maybe an olive type color would look good. But put the liner on first and then the shaow because if you mess up, it wont be as noticable. Just gently stroke it in a straight line and smudge it so it wont look too bold and scary. Steely also looks good- its a dark grayish color. My friend has your descrobed features and she looks good with it on. hope this helped!Eye liner...?
First off, Any color of purple will bring out green/hazel eyes. ( i have about the same colour eyes myself.) The best way to get the liner look without the 2 hours of putting it on is go and buy a eyeliner brush...usually can find good ones at the dollar store...i found mine there and have been using it for approx. 2 years now. anywaz slightly wet the brush with water and use any of your favorit eyeshadows. The water will make the color look a little darker, but i find they also stay for a long period of time.

Also for a wet look use the brush with your fav eyeshadow, and add a lil bit of vasline to the mixture. The vaseline makes the color look wet and sexy. Make sure to wash out your brush well with a mild soap on a regular basis or after each use to keep it clean and soo it will keep its place..

The brush i use looks like a paint brush almost, it is square, soft but the bristles are also a little bit stiff so they dont move alot while applying.

    Hope this helps!
a flat purplish color in your crease and it can be sparkly whitish cream colored shadow along your lash line

for eyeliner go with dark brown, and to put it on pull your eyelid to the side and draw a thin line with the side of the pencil

then black mascara top only :]
i think that like for eyeshaddow, a lighter off white would look cute, or a darker emerald, or brown. then like smear your eyeliner a litter, and put mascara on.

    :)
to put eyeliner on close the eye u want to put it on and then right where your top lashes grow put it there. i normally like sliver eye shadow a little above my lid
I would try to get purples and tans and browns.

    Eye Liner?

How do you make a mystery look eye liner?Eye Liner?
you put on the eyeliner along the rim of you bottom eyelid. the get a dark eyeshadow and put it on you eyelid and along down below your eyes. i did that for my dance, it looks good, trust me!

    :]Eye Liner?
you can try smoking them out by smudging them

or wing them out and use neutral eyeshadows. (:

    Eye liner?

I have fairly pale skin, so when i go to school, wearing black eyeliner (liquid) is far too obvious, and we're not allowed it. I have blue eyes, so would using a brown liquid eyeliner be less obvious but still accentuate my eyes? Would it even suit my eyes? Also, my teeth are more yellow colour than white, what kind of lip gloss can i wear?Eye liner?
Use one of the blue eyes kits their coming out with now. Accentuating your eyes is actually easier if you just use light neutral eyeshadow and brown mascara.Eye liner?
i have blue eyes, brown hair, and tannish skin (like my avatar) and i wear pencil black eyeliner. it works good because it makes your eyes stand out and it isnt as noticable. to mkae it less noticable you could use a brown pencil.
use a reddish lipgloss or blue

blue cancels out orange which looks somewhat like yellow

and red makes yellow teeth look brighter.

and for eyeliner use a brown eyeliner pencil
dont't wear liquid liner. It's way too obvious if your not in a dark club, use a pencil liner.use a clear or blue-ish lipgloss. it'll set off the yellow and make your teeth look whiter.
    Use brown pencil eyeliner

    it would look better
just dont wear eyeliner, i'd use mascara instead..and for your teeth, buy some teeth whitener stuff.
who cares about what the school think wear make up and dont worry!

    Eye Liner?

I always wear this light blue sparkly eye liner i have blue eyes and kinda tan carmel skin. People say it looks stupid do you like are they just jealous?Eye Liner?
I wouldn't listen to those people because if they were trying to be helpful they'd say it in a nicer way, and therefore they could well be jealous. People sau you shouldn't wear eyeliner the same colour as your eyes but i know somoone who has the most beautiful blue eyes and she wears blue eyeliner in a slightly deeper shade and it looks amazing! And ive seen a browned eyed girls use brown eyeliner and it looks really natural. But if you're trying to make your eyes stand out maybe a complementry color may work better such as orange. Sounds loud but it looks really funky. A good place to buy quality eye makeup is B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful. Theres several stores and a website, and the assitants can help you find colors to suit blue eyes.Eye Liner?
It probably does look stupid. Blue eyes look horrible with blue eyeliner/shadow. They're not jealous. They're telling the truth. Try something else. You shouldn't wear the same thing on your eyes like everyday anyway.
You should use colors that compliment your eye color, not blend in. If your eyes are blue, use a brown. It doesn't look stupid to wear the blue, but it won't show off your eyes nicely.
You should post a picture of yourself. But going from the picture in my head, you might want to wear a sparkly black eyeliner. Wearing blue makeup such as blue eyeliner or blue eyeshadow with blue eyes does not bring your eyes out. Wearing black eyeliner has a better chane of making your blue eyes POP.
    no they're right

    Eye liner?

I usually put eyeliner right above my bottom lashes because if i put it right my lashes it looks way too dark. Is it ok to do this? Is there a way to put it on without making it look way too dark? Besides using brown liner.Eye liner?
either smudge it a little bit, or put a shimmery pearly shadow overtop.

OR do both!! lol thats what i always do : )

    looks cute!Eye liner?
It actually makes the eye look so much smaller when you put liner on the inner rim of eye above the lashes on bottom lid. It is also out of style. Try lining your upper lid above the lashes (ofcourse) heavier than the bottom. Infact just dampen the tip of your eyeshadow applicator and put a thin smudge under the lashes on bottom. This will give a sexy smoky eye.
    try making the line thinner
don't apply so much eyeliner just enough so you can see it.

    Eye-liner..?

    i use black pencil eye-liner.

the problem is that after about an hour, it smudges.

i put on the inside and outside, and it's on the outsides that this happenes.

what should i do for this to stop happening?Eye-liner..?
Try a cream eyeliner. It just brushes on and it's a little easier to control than liquid eyeliner because it isn't runny. Plus it dries faster than liquid and is harder to take off but thats b/c it won't smear.

It takes practice but not as much as liquid. I bought cream eyeliner and am still trying to get it just right. I've found you don't need a lot of the cream liner to have a nicely lined eye. So that means I'll have a lot of liner for awhile. :)Eye-liner..?
All pencil eyeliners smudge at some time or another, even the most expensive brands. I suggest switching over to a liquid eyeliner. It's darker than the pencil eyeliner. It can be difficult to apply at first, but it does last longer, even the cheapest of brands.

You can't really apply liquid eyeliner to your waterline. Otherwise, it will irritate your eye and smudge off when you blink. You'll have to apply it under your bottom eyelashes. If you find you don't like liquid eyeliner, try out a more expensive brand of pencil eyeliner. See how this works out for you. It may not smudge as much. I never liked pencil, always been a liquid fan.
i usually find that the inside fades, and the outside smudges. i have the same problem. i really dont know any solution.
you can get a better eyeliner(Victoria's Secret brand) or get a good eyeliner sealer
^ ^ you can also use black eye shadow on top it keeps it from smudging and turning Grey
that happens to me, but its liquid eyeliner.

Maybe try applying it darker or something.

    Sorry i dont know.

  • Eye Liner?

I think that eye liner looks best worn on the top lid, but i find it hard to apply my eye liner there, so i always wear it on my bottom lids.

I use an eye liner pencil, should i get liquid and try that?Eye Liner?
liquid is messy at first, but once you get the hang of it, its really easy to apply it to your top lids.Eye Liner?
    i don't like liquid.

    okayy. get the regualr pencil.

this might take a little practice, but it's worth it once you get the hang of it.

    =]

okay. so make sure you sharpen the pencil like a lot so it's not too big of a line and then take your finger and like streach your eye out from the side and then just put a line. make sure that it's like at the bottom of your top eyelid because if it's not it will just look weird. haha
You could always try powder. It's easy to apply %26amp; isn't too much i find.
i think that a pencil is a lot easier than liquid
Try bobby brown eye liner gel, it lasts hours and is smudge proof.
liquid can be messy if you have never used it before so just practice with it at home until you get the hang of it
You can try liquid liner but honestly it might be even harder. It just takes a lot of practice. It took me sooo long to learn how to apply eye liner on my top lid, but now i can do liquid or pencil. If you use a pencil try sharpening, it will be easier. You should just practice when your bored at home. But honestly practice makes perfect.
liquid is hard to put on first but once you get the hang of it it looks great
i find liquid is much easier to use... though i also think eyeliner looks best on both lids, but i suppose that really depends on your eye shape.
ive never been able to do it with pencil because it smudges and looks a bit messy after a while

i use liquid liner on the top of my lids every day and i find it easier than pencil

have a close look at your eye, you can rest your elbow on a table and ur hand on your face to make it easier first, and it dries and lasts all day

if you need anymore help, feel free to email me, Gd Lk xXx
i like liquid better it looks cleaner and more dramatic. but if u want the smokey eye look then use pencil
I use a glimmer stick from avon on both my top and bottom lids and find that if i dampen it slightly first (just lick it!) it goes on even easier!
Yea and jus put mascara on the top eyelashes to try and even it out..

Assuming from your avatar your white, id suggest that you wear brown eyeliner (unlesss you already do) because black looks very heavy and unnatural, the brown would make it look much more natural and subtle with your skin tone... jus a little xtra info there..
I had the same problem. I find that cream eyeliners, applied with a fine brush, are best for top lids, as the brush allows easy application as it just sweeps on. Smashbox cosmetics do a fabulous pallet of about 8 different colours.

However, pencils are still good, the easiest way is to soften it first by running the tip under hot water, or sitting it over a boiled kettle. This means you don't have to go over as many times to create a darker look, and smudges on easier.

As for liquid eyeliner, it's good if you have a steady hand and can apply it well. The best way is to sit a mirror on a table and apply the liner with your elbows rested on the table, which stops the shaking.

    Hope that helps!

    Love Melissa XxX
Use a soft pencil on the upper eyelid and smudge it with a damp cotton bud or your fingers for a smokey look or try a liquid liner for a mor dramatic look - like Amy Winehouse!

Just practice until you're pleased with the result!
Pencil is easier but liquid is much more dramatic so its worth spending a little extra time getting it right. Have some cotton buds to hand and you can easily fix any mistakes. Wear liquid on the top and pencil on the bottom.

I remember when I first wore liquid liner on my top lids I thought it didn't look right but it did, its just cos I wasn't used to it.

Finish with LOADS of black mascara if you really want to make an impression :)
liquid is a bit tricky at first but looks much better once you have the hang of it. I'd go for liquid everytime!
    yes

at first its really hard to do.

it will kinda come out as a squiggly line, but just try to go really skinny on your inner corner and then get thicker as you go back

but if it is just too squiggly take a q-tip and dip it in makeup remover and smooth out the line.

    good luck!!!
liquid liners are the usual for using on the eyelid but i find there is more precision with a pen rather than a brush or a pencil, avon glimmersticks are good ones, i currently use blackest black and it has the softest nib so doesn't hurt my eyes and it just glides on: http://avonshop.co.uk/avonshop/default.a鈥?/a>
I think dat pencil is way esier den liquid ive tried liquid and it never seems to work fro me so use pencil

How should you apply eye liner?

I don't want it too think or anything. Just pretty. Not too gothicy looking either. I'm i guess consitered a prep? I like abercrombie. So yha;;help pleasee! How should you apply eye liner?
    1 thing...

    top not bottem

it will look awesomeHow should you apply eye liner?
if you line the entire bottom of your eye to thick, it will make your eyes look smaller

just apply it to the outer half or each eye
Just Put a slight bit of it on, if that doesn't work than put mascara on and no eye liner.
If you want a softer look then try black eyeshadow as a liner, or brown eyeliner.
    Follow your lash line.
brown liner.. just apply on the outer end of the eye and stop at the center dont go as far as the tear drops that causes dramatic look
if you want you eyes to stand out apply inside the rim of your eyes then apply black mascara it enchances your eye color its really pretty!
apply a thin line along the lashline, extending it at most to the corner of the eye. Start at about the middle and go outwards, and then make it go thinner as you get closer to the nose.

for beneath the eyes, apply as little as possible along where your eyelashes are (i mean like where they are growing out of your skin) but be creful, because pencil liner tends to smudge and look gothic, so you might want to wipe of exess. I'd suggest not even using eyeliner on the bottom, just use mascara to accentuate your lower lashes a bit.

if you use eyeliner, you should also use mascara. It really helps and works well with the liner.

    hope this helps.
OOO i think u should aply your eyeliner only on the your eyelids, on the top, instead of the bottom of your eyes. I see a lotta pretty girls do it in my school and stuff.......its not gothy....and u look naturally pretty, try it!

How do you prevent eye liner from smudging?

I was just wondering, since EVERYDAY my eye liner is smudged. And it makes me look like a racoon! So I was wondering if there are any tips / ways to prevent it from smudging?

+ whats a good eye liner brand? How do you prevent eye liner from smudging?
clinique have the best eyeliner pencils though they are quite expensive at 拢12.50 (roughly $26) a pencil but they are worth it as they come with a sharpener on top

however if you prefer a cheaper option go for rimmel london about 拢4 ($8) a pencil.. just get a sharpener and all eyeliner will work like magic

as for preventing smudging get a box of cotton buds :

    http://www.germes-online.com/direct/dbim鈥?/a>

things you use to clean your ears lol

seriously they are like a god send.. put on ur eyeliner blink really hard a few times then lick the end of the swab and wipe away the excess eyeliner

and no harm in carring a couple buds around with you in your bag every day for that midday check in the mirror!

    what i do :]

    I use Benefit Cosmetic's Shelaq

You can put it over anything and it will stay smudge proof and water proof. It comes with many different brushes, for eyes lips and eyelashes and is great for trips.

Personally, I love Almay eye liner as well as MAX FACTOR. The colors are lovely and they stay put.
Look at Avon's eyeliners. They are not to expensive %26amp; are great. There are several good ones that shouldn't smudge. Look at Glimmersticks waterproof eyeliner %26amp; Feeling Fine Ultra Thin eyeliner.

Go to www.youravon.com/kwade3641 %26amp; read customer reviews while you shop. Use code REPFS to get free shipping in the US.
I use Mary Kay eye primer and eye liner - not only does it keep your eye shadow on all day without any touch ups, but if you just put a little bit along your lower lashes where you put your eye liner it keeps it from smudging.
I'm using a Rimmel right now and I always try to find inexpensive eyeliner pencils. Applying eyeshadow or a little translucent powder after applying the liner will usuually keep smudging down to a minimum.
waterproof. and revlon. it has a variety of shades and goes on easy.

however, do onot use liquid eyeliner. it can bleed into your eyes.
before you put on your eyeliner apply foundation

or a powder under your eyes. then put the eyeliner

over it. or you could try a waterproof eyeliner

i use define a line by maybelline =]
I use Define-a-Line and never once has it smudged. Only around the edge of eye. But that, you can hardly tell.

    I think its the best.
It's kind of expensive, but e.l.f has a waterproof eyeliner. It stays on but it's kind of hard to get off.
I put on eyeliner then get eyemake up remover and go over the parts that don't look good. It' works and doesn't smudge!
    hairspray!!
    get liquid eyliner.

clinique %26amp; mac are the best.

How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?

I'm pretty good with make up except when it comes to putting eye liner on my upper eye lids...then I really stink. I'm great at eye liner when it comes to the bottom of the eye, but on top I tend to make too thick of a line, or make it too dark...whatever it is, it never looks the way I want it to. I'm a big fan of the dark/smokey eye, not too dramatic, but still hot. How can I achieve this look without using eye liner, and without looking gothy. How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?
I tend to use a eyeliner pencil for the end of my eyelids and smugde it. Then i get a really thin liquid eyeliner and draw a thin line keeping the brush very close to my eyelashes.

If im not bothered but dnt want my eyes to look plain, i get a good mascara, brush my eyelashes downwards so that my eyes look ';hooded'; and i brush the last eyelashes on my eyelid outwards and the lashes i have at the front (near the bridge of your nose) i brush that towards my nose.

So towards my nose, middle lashes are brushed downwards to get the hooded look, and the last eyelashes (they tend to be the longest ones) i brush them outwards towards my ear and make them look flicked out.

I have very long eyelashes so its easy but u can use fake lashes if you want. How can I get a dark dramatic eye without using any eye liner on my upper lid?
Use black shadow like an eye liner and then blend it into your smokey eye. Filling in your water line with black will help deminish any noticable difference between your regular liner and the eye shadow.

Also, if you want a less goth looking smokey eye avoid using a lot of black. In fact a smokey eye can be achieved with any color (right now mine's a blue). The goth look champions using black all over the eye lid and all the way into the crease. Tone it down by breaking up the color. Use medium grey on the eye lid, light grey in the crease, and a skin complimenting (I'm black so things vary) light eyeshadow under the eyebrow. Blend really well. Then use black shadow as a thick eyeliner and blend.

Granted I went back and used fluidline eyeliner but realized that it didn't really make a difference. That's how I stumbled upon using black shadow as ';eyeliner'; when doing a smokey eye.
i know its kinda odd and i think im the only one who does it but i feel the same way about putting eyeliner on the top of my eyelid cause no matter what you can always see a space between ur eyelid and the eyeliner. so you know how you put eyeliner on like the pink part right down from your eye? like just above where your eyelashes grow? well theres one of those things on your top eyelid its just hard to see cause its pointing down. but i somehow manage to like pull my eyelid up and get it there and it looks even better then on the bottom cause its IMPOSSIBLE to tell that you have anything on so your eye just looks natuarally hot :)
get a really thin makeup brush and grey%26amp;silver eyeshadow

put the tip of the brush into the eyeshadow and shade in your eye lid about three or four times. right away your going to get that smokey effect. then take a dab of silver on the same brush and brush it along your brow bone. finish it off with a black eye shadow right in the crease of your eye. honestly, your going to have amazing results and the best looking ';smokey eyes';---for eyeliner use pencil. start in the pupil area and slowly go out if you feel like its getting to dark;stop and then continue/anything comes out better if you take your time[=

The best way to get a smoky eye that won't run is to use waterproof or stay-put products. First use a cream shadow that won't budge to create the smoky look -- Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner [$18, BenefitCosmetics.com] stays put for hours! I like the shade Skinny Jeans because it's a smoky gray that isn't too intense, but if you want a really dark eye, use Strut or Town Car. Apply it with your finger from your lashline to crease, and also along your bottom lashes for a smudgy effect. Finish with two coats of waterproof mascara. Try Maybelline New York Intense Volume XXL Waterproof Mascara in Black [$6, drugstores].
You'll definitely want to use the smoky-eyes effect. Just look for a dark colored eyeshadow, like gray or charcoal, and use a fine applicator or the best tool--- your finger. Smear it gently on your lower lid, gradually softening as you go up... I do this sometimes with subtle silver or dark gold, and i put a little bit on the outer and inner corners.
Use an angle brush and gray eyeshadow. It is a lot easier to use then eyeliner. You can either wet the brush or keep it dry, dip it in powder, then line eyes. Once you line your eyes with it, blend into eyelids and also use some gray eyeshadow on the lids. Then use several coats of black mascara.
    black eyeshadow

or a dark purple is always dramatic

also in the corner closest to your nose use a light light color to make the dark color more dramatic

    :D
Food coloring and vaseline (petroleum jelly). Mix it first, and then apply with fingers...
Practice with the eyeliner or use dark eye shadow and blend it out
well, makeup is the only way unless you could make a whole another look, that's about the only way.

    hope this helped.
well smokey eyes are suppose to be thick, try eyeshadow the ones that has 3 colors in one plate thing, light, medium, dark.

Applying eyeliner to the upper lid can be difficult-it's an awkward area to put eyeliner on, and it's sensitive. To achieve the dramatic smokey eye look, (without over-doing it, of course), you'll need a compact with three or four monochromatic colors. You can potentially do the smokey eye with any color, as long as you have a dark and medium of that color, and a very light color that blends well. Just use the colors that suit your eye color best.

Anyway, rather than using a black (or dark of any other color) eyeliner on your upper lid, use that same color in eyeshadow. You will get a very dramatic effect that will blend into the other colors of eyeshadow better than eyeliner will. The key to the smokey eye is to keep everything soft and blended, yet dramatic. Use medium shades of eyeshadow for a good dramatic eye without over-doing it.

Watching a tutorial to do this is very helpful to make the process easier, and the outcome look better. This is my favorite tutorial-she shows a good, not-too-dramatic smokey eye in a simple way.

What is the best eye liner that does not bleed out?

I prefer pencil eyeliners but most bleeds out after a couple of hours after application. What is the best eye liner that does not bleed out?
water proof is the best but most of them are liquid so i think you should switch if you don't want you're eyeliner bleeding out. What is the best eye liner that does not bleed out?
just get any eyeliner that is water proof Or if u wanna splurge get the chanel on!
MAC eyeliner. They last for the whole day and doesn't smear.
If you are an extremist? The permanent kind like,Tattooed.
    Get the water proof kind.
You should go to MAC %26amp; tell them your problem %26amp; they should be able to help you. I think that the pencil eyeliners bleed out too much too, so I switched to liquid a long time ago.
trust me IVE TRIED ALL the eyeliners...

if u want something really good try SHISEIDO eyeliner

    and ur gonna thank me

What is the best way to prevent eye liner from running?

It seems like no matter how I put it on, I always have some that smudges during the day....and I'm not crying or touching it or anything. Anyone else have this problem? Tips to prevent?

Thanks! What is the best way to prevent eye liner from running?
By not using it!What is the best way to prevent eye liner from running?
You need a diff. type, I have found that liquid doesnt work just find a pencil liner that is waterproof! And you just have to test some out and c how it goes.
if you're using liquid eyeliners, i think it will stay on just fine. choose the waterproof types.

if you're using pencil type eyeliners, buy a black eyeshadow powder too. In that way, you can pat on the eyeshadow powder right after you apply your eyeliner. with the powder over the eyeliner, it definitely stays on longer!
Use Merle Norman waterproof eye liner, it is wonderful and stays looking good all day!
MAC makes an eyeliner with latex in it. Trust me, it won't budge.
Haha, i get that same problem! I've tried putting foundation under my eyes and on top of it, but it's still smudges at the end of the day. I read in about.com, that you should put an eyeshadow on the lined area so it will set and not smudge. Why not try that and tell me how it goes:)
That alwayyss happened to me..I think it might have to do with oils on your skin or something, idk.. but I bought liquid eyeliner for the top.. (almay)

I put bottom liner on the inside of my eye, some people put it under..if you put it under, it is more likely to smear. If you put it on it, it's more likely to rub off. I'd rather it rub off then smear
Absolutely Mac - Liquidlast Liner. It's amazing- goes on with a thin brush. Gel consistency.
I took care of that problem permanently!!! I have my eye liner tattooed on. It's done very thin, so it shows, but it's not too much for daytime. It's great, but was very scary getting it done.
drop one little drop of super glue into the liquid eyeliner!!!
Get water proof mascara to insure that it won't run. It might be a bit pricier but It's worth it. People judge on looks so look good.
It's the quality of the product. My daughter and I use Merle Norman Creme Eyeliners. It lasts forever!!!! Get the flat brush to apply it - you'll love it.
wipe the underneath of your eye with a tissue then put a little face power on the underneath your eye it used to happen to me all the time because my foundation was oily but i sorted it now xxxx
lol the best way honestly ... is to find one that is better quality. That's your answer, even if it's waterproof or whatever, you have to invest in an eyeliner that is good in quality, and has a good liquid base, like the Lancome liquid eyeliner.
