How do you put on eye liner?

I want to start wearing eye liner, but I don't know how to put it on and make it look good. Anyone want to give me steps for how to do it or something like that? Or tips? I wear mascara already, but some tips for putting that on would be great too. Also, which goes on first, eye liner, or mascara? Thanks! How do you put on eye liner?

yes, that girl is right, start with a stick.

that's best for beginners lol.

ok um, what you are going to do is...

1. get the stick and smudge it into the lash line for the top lid. just smudge it in just enough.

if you lay your finger, while your eye is shut,

on to the top of your cheekbone.

the liner shouldn't be seen past your finger. ( i hope that that made sense!)

for the bottom, that pink line that you see when

you pull the bottom lid down.

smudge it onto that line. your eyes will water a little, but that's ok and it shouldn't make the make up run or anything.

then apply a LITTLE BIT MORE eye liner on the bottom.

and then you can MASTER your way to liquid liner lol.

ok step 2 in mascara:

smaller the lash brush, bigger the lashes. just make really small streaks onto the lashes. I recommend Lo'real

liner. it is rereally good and gives the eye really good sape while at the same time, creates the allusion of a larger eye.

3. try and get a nice highlight and apply it under the brow and on the inside corner of the eys.

I hope that I helped you! :)

-layla for best answer!
you should put eye liner before mascara because you may mess up the mascara if your putting eye liner on top of that. well putting on eye liner is extremely simple. if you want a really dark look you should pass the pencil over your lower eye over again until it looks dark enough. to me, just one or two coats if fine. to put it on you should first press down on your upper cheek/under eye. then start moving the pencil right above your lower lashes. put the liner on your entire upper lash (if you want, or you can stop in the front of middle). some people put eye liner on the top but that's harder or easier depending on if you put on inside or on top (never heard about the inside part until i saw the video). for mascara its best to have your lashed curled well. then slowly brush it upwards and don't move the brush side side like in zig zag (some people thing it makes it look long or thicker) because it clumps up your lashes. for the bottom it's a bit harder because you have to avoid getting mascara on your skin. don't press down the brush too much and there's no need to put too much on.

all you do is close your eyes - 1 at a time - and put it on the way you want it.you can make different designs and stuff but thats when you get good at putting on liner. me i like the liquid color eye liner its way more easy to put on/and take off then the the regular kind
Mascara goes on last when doing your eyes. Curl your lashes first so it won't ruin the eyeshadow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSc9r4tzW… this video is a great help for eyeliner. It teacher you the different kinds and how to apply all kinds of liners. It really works wonders. You really have to actually see the steps and not read them. Hope I helped!

start off with pencil. liquid takes mastering skills.

lift up your upper eyelid a bit and put it on where the eyelashes are then add mascara.

same for the bottom.

theres really nothing to it.
put it on the top and bottom line of your eyelash line. If you want it to really show the put it on the water line witch is the wet part where your lashes are!

tutorial :P
Apply eyeliner first than apply mascara.

Mascara

1- Not too necessary but helps a great deal - curl your eyelashes first. Put the eyelash curler on the roots of your mascara, hold for 10 seconds and release!

2- Hold the mascara wand on top of your lashes, at the roots. Hold down and swipe a load of product on your lashes, root to tip, going over to spread the product smoothly.

3- Do the same thing for under your eyelashes, working the wand into your roots to the tips. Wiggle the mascara wand in a zig-zag motion to get to all our lashes and to build even more volume. Put as many coats as you want, focusing on ‘lifting’ your eyelashes up.

4- Optional - apply mascara to your bottom eyelashes. There are no real techniques here, other than just apply it from root to tip, loading product on, but making sure it goes on smoothly.

Eyeliner

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, apply eyeliner from the outside corner of the eye, stopping two-thirds of the way along the eyelid. Apply with short strokes, drawing the line into the lash line rather than above it. For a more dramatic look, make the outside line a bit thicker than the inside.

Step 2: Set liner with a deep eyeshadow. Dip eyeshadow brush into the shadow, then apply shadow over the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner, which tends to rub off on eyelid.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to lower lashes. Using your eyeshadow brush, apply the deep-hued eyeshadow along the bottom lashes, from the outside in. Unless you have wide-set eyes, don't line the entire lower lid. Instead, stop halfway across. For a more natural look, don't dip the brush into the shadow again, instead, use the excess that's still on the brush for the lower lashes.

Step 4:Clean up any mistakes with a cotton swab.

Extra tips: To make eyes appear wider, trace the inner rims of eyes with a white pencil.
