How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?

How do I use black eye liner without looking goth? i cant use liquid eyeliner because i have sensitive eyes. what do i do?How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?
put it on your wet line only (the inner line) if you have small eyes tho, this might not be the best idea, if you have big eyes (like me) also apply it to the top wet line... this is more difficult but it looks very neat and not gothic... I'd recommend mac eyeliner (I use ebony, its the darkest black and I dont look gothic) make sure you tell them you want one that will last a long time on your wetline, waterproof is not mac's best eyeliner for this! How do I use black eye liner without looking goth?
The key to not looking goth is making dashes or dots instead of drawing a continuous line. I would recommend a soft black pencil with the point on one end and a smudger on the end (I would recommend either Lancome kohl in Noir or L'oreal in Sable, they're the two best) -- not the automatic kind but the kind you can sharpen. Then, sharpen it and draw a series of tiny dashes on your lids as close to the lash line as possible, starting where your lashes start in the inner corner and going until (but not beyond) the outer corner. Use the smudger to smudge the dashes together. Voila! This method is almost impossible to mess up. PS - I have sensitive eyes too and I've found that waterproof eyeliner works better because it's less likely to get ruined if my eyes water.
I kinda have the same problem, i would recomend putting on a dark brown and blending it with some shimmery bronz brown, it looks good
you could mix it with white and it would turn out grey and that would be really cool. or you can use sparingly as to make it look like a shadow or something natural.
Apply a thin line and smudge it a bit so there is not a harsh demarcation. If you are using liquid liner, realize that the rest of the look must be very particular. When your eyes are dark, go light on the cheeks and lips.
you can use a very thin line and then smudge it so it is visible but not goth. also, consider other colors, such as charcoal, which you can use as much as you like without looking goth.
get a pencil liner and use it from mid lid to outside corner of lid, this gives cat eye affect, smudge the line for a soft romantic affect.
Use a kohl pencil or such to draw a thin line on you whole upper eyelid. It looks best if it's a little bit thicker in the eye corner. Then draw a line underneath you eye that's thicker in the eye corner and then gets thinner and eventually fades out. Put some mascara on, and voila! You're HOT!
use eyeshoadow as your liner instead a actual eyeliner
I personally use to have the same issue but what I found is if you take your pencil and sharpen it very well and color so close to your lashes that it is pretty much in them on the lid it doesn't. But the key is to have a SUPER thin line and that is why you need to have a sharp pencil and also a stead hand!! Good Luck!
Okay, i use black eyeliner everyday and i do it without looking goth. the thing to remember is to make a thin straight line on the top lid if nessessary you can use white eye shadow or light brown. then on the bottom put the eye liner inside the bottom lid and finally do your mascra but do it very lightly on the bottom lashes or else you will come off a little bit gothic.

well i hope this helps
LOL, putit on lighter
Sharpen your pencil well and draw a very thin line as close to your eyelashes as you can. Do not eye line your lower eyelid. At first it might be difficult but you`ll get better pulse over time. Personally I use liquid eye liner or wet eye shadow.
smudge it!!!
i wear eye liner and i dont look goth at all... but put it on the bottom and if u want the top i wouldnt suggest it though ... then just put a little eyeshadow on like what blue or pink or something ...you wouldnt lok goth at a ll
i love black eyeliner and im like the opposite of goth..umm what i do is i draw a line as close to my lashes as possible on top and make it a bit thicker at the outer corners, then on the bottom use dark brown and like 2/3 of the way (thining the line out as u go toward ur nose) then apply a very sheer shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eye and blend above and below the lid.
Have you ever tired using black eyeshadow as an eyeliner before? Take a slanted angle brush and black eyeliner and gently glide it on. It will give it a smoky effect as well as a gentle look to your eyes.
dont put it on that dark or wear brighter clothes and not darker ones
instead of useing eyeliner, take a eyeliner brush(something like that!) dip it into water/eye care drops(doesnt crack the eyeshadow!) then dip it inot the eyeshadow and draw a line for a line effect!
You can use it (pencil eyeliner) on the inside of your eye cuz that just looks stunning. Or, you could try just using a light, thin line on the outside of your bottom eyelid. Have fun!
